Established over 30 years ago, Garden City Auto Trimming is the most recognised and reputable upholstery business in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Region. Founded originally by Mark Jensen, the business welcomed Stephen Wenham as Mark’s right hand man. Having had training, knowledge and experience from his father, Steve has always had a passion for breathing life into furniture and motor vehicles. 

 

In 2010, Stephen and his wife Rebecca took over the business. Since then, Garden City Auto Trimming has grown significantly and now employs a full-time motor trimmer and full time upholsterer. Having outgrown the original space, the workshop is now located in Hampton Street.

 

Being a local family owned and operated business, Steve and Bec are proud supporters of Steven Spark at Smithy’s TGW Gym.

Originally trained by his own father in the industry, Stephen has dedicated his working history to the trade and is particularly fond of Holdens. He carefully balances his time at work between being the Senior Motor Trimmer and valiantly searching for an old 2-door-HQ to add to his collection!

Michael

Upholsterer

Michael is the Master at Upholstery. With years of experience under his belt, the quality of his work is reminiscent of days gone by. From beautiful deep diamond buttoning and fine pattern matching, to antique furniture and commercial work, he has it all covered.

Jacob

Motor Trimmer

Jacob is our resident Motor Trimmer. For such an old trade he is one of the youngest faces to showcase our work. Specialising in old car re-trims and seat repairs, Jacob is committed to the trade, and is meticulous with his work. He is also a VW lover and has spent years getting his own Beetle back on the road.

Rebecca

Owner / Administration Manager

Rebecca is our Administration Manager. Currently juggling her time looking after the team and organising behind the scenes of family life, Bec’s passion lies with customer service and satisfaction. There’s something to be said for having such an extensive return client database!
